It's Official....It's Official!

On Monday, September 8th, we received the translation of all of Kassie's paperwork. It explained how she arrived in the orphanage, some information about the foster family she is with now (and has been with since March of 2007), some medical information, and some development information.

on Tuesday, September 9th, we met with Kassie's soon-to-be pediatrician. She was lovely and reviewed all Kassie's information and said what we already thought.....she looked to be happy, healthy and developmentally "on-track". Yeah!!

So.....after a week's wait + 31 months....we signed the official adoption acceptance document, brought it to our agency who DHL'd back to China. Now what??? We wait. (We've done that well for 31 months...sometimes better than others.) By the end of this month, we will receive our "Travel Authorization" (TA). Our agency will fax that to the American Consulate in Guangzhou, China to begin arranging our Consulate appointment. We are thinking we will travel either the end of October or the beginning of November. Either way....we're home for "Turkey Day"! Yeah!!!
