Travel Authorization Arrived Today!

We are happy to say we have hit the next milestone in our journey “Searching for Kassandra”. China sent us our travel authorization (TA) today, which is the next step in the process. The TA is China’s approval for us to come and pick up our daughter. We have 90 days to travel back and forth. Our agency faxed the TA to the US Embassy in Guangzhou and again…..we wait. (You would think by now this is the one thing we have gotten really good at.) Just as a little aside, the US Embassy in Guangzhou is closed for Chinese holidays tomorrow 9/30 and reopens on Monday 10/6. The embassy date will determine the rest of our travel plans. It seems odd to confirm the last Monday of the trip and backdate the other important dates from that.

We will know shortly…..on another note…..everyone should sing “Happy Birthday” to Kassandra tomorrow – she turns 3! We’ll be together soon little one….very soon…..
