The Great Day at The Great Wall

Today was one of those days. One of those days to be remembered forever. (Okay tomorrow will be one too but for different reasons.) We went to The Great Wall. The gondola ride was incredible. The views right out of the gate were unbelievable. We climbed and climbed. Then Kristin stopped. Then Italo stopped. Bill and Chris made it to the top of the tower. They were amazing! Pictures will follow to show the vistas and scenery.
The hotel breakfast was great. We went to a jade factory and purchased our first souvenirs. (Okay Chris and Kristin bought their first jewelry.) Lunch at the cloisonné factory was yummy. We were able to fit in a visit to the Olympic venues and a drive by Tienamin Square and The Forbidden City. All in all a great day.
We are sitting here in the airport, bags checked (we made the weight limits), through security (Kristin hates that part) and Bill is holding the PC so I can type and we can post yesterday and today’s updates. We are off to Changsha. We meet Kassie for the first time tomorrow morning. How are any of us going to sleep tonight???
More to follow…..
