Funny Words

There are certain words that can almost automatically elicit a heartfelt “belly” laugh from Kassie. Some will remember when Caleb and Joseph were young and would laugh to the point of getting sick at the word “taco”. No one knows why. There is a “Kassie” phrase that can make her laugh hysterically….."ba-bunn-neah”. (We worry a little we MAY be saying something in Chinese we should not be saying but…..oh well.) The other new word is “STRONG” with the accompanying muscle arm motion. Oh how she laughs!!!

Daddy also taught her a new game…..hand stacking. She caught on pretty quickly and now brings her hands to the top of the pile pretty darn fast.

Now that the holidays are over, the living room was put back to normal; a new shelf was put together and filled with toys for easy access. Another shelf was cleared off and filled with different toys. Other toys were placed in a tub and stored in the attic so we can discover “new” toys this spring. I am happy to say – she is now branching out and dabbling with toys throughout the room. Each toy is played with for a short stint of time and then she moves on to another. This is progress as we have moved from 100% of the time on the Sit ‘n Spin or “Spin” as Kassie calls it. She also says “watchin’ TB” which means we go to the family room and put on the TV.

It’s a whole new world for Kassie next week Mommy has to go back to work. She will be going to MeMa and PaPa’s house so she will be well cared for and spoiled (as she should be at MeMa and PaPa’s house). This will be a change and an adjustment so we are expecting some unhappiness but soon enough….there will be unhappiness when we go and pick her up.
